Academic Advising

Map out your education with the assistance of Bellevue counselors, academic advisors, and online resources.

The Academic Success Center (ASC) provides free, high-quality tutoring and learning services for all students enrolled at Bellevue College. We have specialized tutoring labs for math and writing as well as drop-in tutoring for most subjects, one-on-one tutoring appointments, and workshops. We also have resources for lending items such as textbooks and calculators. The mission of the ASC is to help students succeed academically and empower them to become independent, life-long learners.

Athletics

The Athletics department offers 10 team sports with solid reputations as top competitors in the Pacific Northwest.

Benefits Hub

The Benefits Hub provides a range of free financial services for students, faculty, and staff, including emergency assistance, personal finance tutoring, tax preparation, financial aid, and more.

Campus Emergency Alerts

Bellevue College has partnered with Rave Mobile Safety to offer an emergency alert notification system called Rave Alert. The Rave Alert service delivers reliable emergency text and email messages to you anytime there is an emergency on campus that poses a safety concern for the community. Center for Career Connections

Students and community members can find career planning and job search assistance in the Center for Career Connections. The Center provides one-on-one career advising, classes and workshops, work-study and internship opportunities, and many computerized resources.

Center for High School Programs

Bellevue College offers diverse programs and educational alternatives to individuals aged 16 and up, whether or not they are currently enrolled in high school.

Counseling Center

The Counseling Center offers free, confidential, and culturally responsive personal mental health, educational, career, and drop-in crisis counseling to all enrolled students. Faculty/staff consultations regarding student mental health issues are also provided, and counselors teach Human Development (HD) classes.

Course Maps

Course maps are a new resource for prospective and current Bellevue College students. They show a sample sequence of courses for each degree or certificate across our eight BC Pathways (areas of study).

Disabled Students Navigating STEM

DSNS is a cohort program that accelerates the growth and identity development of disabled students in the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields.

Disability Resource Center

DRC provides advocacy and classroom accommodations for students with documented disabilities. This includes specialized materials, technology, and equipment.

Early Learning Center

The Early Learning Center provides affordable, quality childcare to children ages 3 months to 6 years, an on-site Head Start program, and resources and classes for parents.

Enrollment Services

The Enrollment Services Office supports students from the time of admission, through graduation or transfer to another college or university. Areas within Enrollment Services include registration, admission and residency, records and grades, and provides official transcripts upon request.

Evaluations and Graduation

The Evaluations & Graduation Office evaluates graduation applications and determines student eligibility for the awarding of degrees and certificates. The office also evaluates official transcripts and accepts transfer credit for coursework completed at other colleges and universities.

Financial Aid

The Financial Aid Office provides financial resources to eligible students through an evaluation process. Resources include federal, state, and college funds, encompassing grants, loans, scholarships, veterans’ benefits, and work study jobs.

Food Services

Food Services serves the college main campus by offering a full-service cafeteria and three coffee shops that serve light snacks, pastries, espresso, tea, and beverages.

Institutional Advancement

This department furthers awareness and appreciation for Bellevue College by building and strengthening relationships with the public and business communities, and encouraging participation in and support of college programs and initiatives. The department includes Public Relations & Communications, Marketing Services, Community Development, BC Foundation, and Website Management.

Interactive eLearning

The Interactive eLearning department provides instructional design consultations to enhance online, hybrid, and technology-enhanced coursework. We encourage creative application of technology through ongoing faculty training. We provide Online Instructor-Led, Online Self-Paced, and Online Canvas workshops and training for students.

International Education

This office supports international students who plan to enroll in college credit classes, Intensive English/University Preparation, noncredit ESL classes or other special programs. Staff assist with admissions, advising, health and insurance issues, student activities, housing referrals, and more.

Lead Peer Educators

The Lead Peer Educators (LPE) Program is a student leadership group that aims to advance campus services, help current/prospective students navigate campus resources, and provide hands-on experiential learning activities for new peer educators to promote student success.

Library Media Center

The BC Library has books, eBooks, magazines, course reserves, DVDs, and electronic resources like peer-reviewed articles. You can also check out laptops, headphones, digital voice recorders, cell phone chargers, calculators, and internet hotspots. Both Mac and PC computers are available, as well as printers. Librarians are available 24/7 via our Ask a Librarian page; they can help you with research, evaluating your sources, and citations. The Library has many study areas, including quiet study spaces, and study rooms. You will need to reserve your study space in the Library, which you can do on our homepage.

Multicultural Services (MCS)

MCS provides culturally sensitive support services to BC students in the area of academic skill-building development, faculty and peer mentorship, student advocacy, information sharing, connecting to resources, and community building.

Neurodiversity Navigators

Neurodiversity Navigators provides advocacy, communication support, and cohort educational opportunities to all BC students who identify as autistic or neurodivergent.

A service organization that supports and advances Bellevue College’s cultural commitment to inclusion.

Placement and Testing Services

This office offers a variety of options for students who need English and math placement or need to clear prerequisite requirements prior to registering for classes. The office also offers a variety of other tests, including the GED, and provides proctoring services.

Public Safety

This department provides round-the-clock campus security and manages traffic safety, parking, crime prevention, and emergency preparedness and response.

Radio & TV Stations

We’re on the air—broadcasting daily on radio and television.

91.3 KBCS – You’ll find an eclectic mix of music and ideas on 91.3 KBCS, a self-supporting public service of Bellevue College.
The College Channel – Explore educational programs, concerts, historical lectures, and much more on the College Channel (cable channel 28). You’ll find a daily programming guide, as well as station news and announcements.

RISE MakerSpace

Through the RISE MakerSpace, you can explore new technologies, create, innovate, and build something awesome. The MakerSpace is located in in Room B237 on BC’s main campus and is free and open to all BC students.

Running Start

Public high school juniors and seniors can earn tuition-free college credit while finishing high school. Classes are held on the BC campus.

STEM to Stern

STEM to Stern is a two-year-long cohort program that accelerates the growth of students in the science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields. The cohort is a supportive learning community and a powerful resource where you will learn skills and make connections that will help you succeed as a STEM student and professional.

Student Business Center

The Student Business Center provides a place to find campus event information, pick up student ID cards, buy discounted movie tickets, access computer kiosks, find Metro bus information, or purchase supplies.

Student Central

Student Central is a one-stop hub for departments that include Enrollment Services, Financial Aid, Evaluations & Graduation, and Placement and Testing Services.

Student Engagement

Student Engagement provides educational and community-building programs for BC students, as well as leadership and involvement opportunities.

Student Housing

If you’re a student, you have the option of living on-campus in a furnished Suite (1 or 2 bedroom) or Apartment (2 or 4 bedroom). Each unit is fully furnished and features private kitchens and bathrooms. View room layouts, amenities, community development opportunities, and more!

Technology Service Desk

Get help with campus technology including a searchable online knowledge base and campus technology guides, and getting started with your NetID.

Title IX Office

Title IX addresses concerns and provides protection from discrimination extends to faculty, staff and students and includes such things as: sexual harassment, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking, gender identity, and pregnancy. It also prohibits retaliation against anyone who makes or participates in a complaint. The Title IX Office is here to support individuals while they are connected to campus.

TRiO Student Support Services

TRiO provides academic and personal support for eligible students who are first-generation college students, low-income students, or students with a documented disability. Services include tutoring, study skills, advocacy, laptop computer lending, activities, and transfer assistance.

Veterans Program

Bellevue College’s Veterans Program is designed to assist military service members and their families with their journey through college, career, and beyond.

Weather Station

Locate regional weather data in real-time including today’s temperature, humidity, and wind speed. Created by the college’s Meteorology department as an educational tool for science courses, this site is a valuable community resource and is one of its kind among community colleges in the Pacific Northwest.

Welcome Center

Bellevue College’s Welcome Center provides incoming and prospective students with a variety of services to aid individuals in learning about BC and becoming part of the BC campus community. Services include outreach events, information sessions, admission advising, and new student orientation.

Wellness Center

We offer gym and outdoor recreational activities that are free or low-cost for students.

Wireless (WiFi)

The Bellevue College wireless network is available throughout campus. For those who have configured their wireless device for eduroam, you can also access the wireless at other participating school locations.

Workforce Education

Workforce Education programs help eligible individuals get the skills they need to enter or reenter the workforce. All training programs include advising, career planning, connections to additional funding sources, assistance with Financial Aid, and related agencies.
