Student organizations play a vital role in campus culture and offer students the opportunity for leadership development and growth. Student organizations provide a way to connect with others who share similar interests while encouraging inclusiveness and cooperation, thereby enriching the college experience.
Student groups are officially recognized through the chartering process, overseen by ASG and Student Engagement. Chartered student organizations are open to all BC students and there is no cost to join. Membership in honor societies or groups operating as a local chapter to a national organization may involve a cost to join the national organization. Benefits of chartering incude having access to funding opportunities and other campus resources.
Previously recognized student organizations are groups that have previously been chartered (and may currently be active), but are not currently chartered.
To be an official student organization at BC, student organizations must charter annually.
